Darkness and I have a complicated relationship. I’m someone who delights in the morning sun and appreciates a softly glowing nightlight. Emotionally, I no longer linger in the dark because I’ve come to understand that what you project into the world is what you attract. Having spent much of my childhood and some of my adult years enveloped in darkness, I’ve had my fill. I’m not perfect, I still battle a personal demon or two now and then, but the worst of them are healed. Now, I prefer to sow seeds of light and witness the world around me flourish because of it. That’s my relationship with darkness.
